Duarte Pimentel holds a PhD in Economic and Business Sciences, with a specialization in Management. He is the Executive Director and a Member of the Board of Directors of TERINOV - Science and Technology Park of Terceira Island, and an Assistant Professor at ISPA – Instituto Universitário. He currently serves as Vice-President of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Association of Business Parks, Permanent Member of the National Strategic Council of Startup Portugal, Member of the Regional Smart Specialisation Council, Member of the Innovation and Technology Sectoral Commission of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angra do Heroísmo, Member of the Monitoring Committee of the Azores 2030 Programme, and Member of the Installation Committee of the School of Technologies and Administration at the University of the Azores. Duarte has published several papers and book chapters and supervised and co-supervised over 20 Master’s and doctoral theses in the fields of Management and Organizational Behavior (ORCID: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8224-0571 )
