Museu da Memória dos Açores, also known as MMA, is one unit for two entities: an online and on-site museum focused on the preservation of the photographic and film heritage of the Azores. MMA is a cultural and archive entity that collects photos from different - mostly privately owned sources, for digitizing, publication on the website that will be accessible from everywhere allowing to learn the hidden parts of the history of the archipelago through the lenses of private photos that were hidden during the decades.
